Career aspects after 10th:

Results are out for the 10th class and students are confused regarding their career. As 10th is the initial phase of their career so choosing a right stream also plays an important role in their career. Some of the students are good in studies but some them are not good. There are many reasons due to which they don’t want to continue their further studies, Like some student does not have interest in the studies and some students unable to continue their studies due to Financial problems. So, if you are not able to continue your studies you should focus on the getting job after passing your 10th class.

Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and Industrial Training Centres (ITCs):Constituted under Ministry of Labour, Union Government of India, Government-run ITIs and privately-run ITCs are training organisations which provide training in technical field. ITI courses are designed to impart basic skills needed for a specified trade like electrician, machinist, fitter, plumber, turner, welder etc. and depending upon trade, the duration of course may vary from one year to three years. After passing the course a person may opt to undergo practical training in his trade in an industry. A National Trade Certificate (NTC) in provided by NCVT (National Council for Vocational training ) in the concerned trade and to obtained this certificate one has to qualify the All India Trade Test (AITT). These people can find job openings in government sectors like Indian Railways, telecom departments etc. after qualifying a written examination.

Indian Army:After matriculation, one can join in Indian Army to the posts of soldiers in technical trade through written exams like Indian Army Soldier Clerks Examination, Indian Army Soldier General Duty (N.E.R.) Examination, Indian Army Soldier Technical (M.E.R.) Examination, Indian Army Soldier Nursing Assistants (M.E.R.) Examination etc.

Indian Navy: Job opportunities are available in Indian Navy as Dock Yard Apprentices, Sailors, Artificer Apprentices, etc. on the basis of written examination.

Police Force: The students who had passed their 10th are eligible to join the Police Force as an Constable. At the early age if you joined as constable after service of 10 years you will be promoted to A.SI. The salary package is also good in a Police Force.

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Exam: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts clerks grade examination for those who passed matriculation. For those who interested in teaching field can undergo training in diploma course for nursery and primary teachers conducted by the departments of primary education in various States. Students can join for 3 year engineering diploma courses in polytechnics. Several job oriented short term courses are available in IT sector and other fields like web designing, animation, fashion designing etc. Apart these, there are so many options, specially self employment opportunities are available for the school leavers depending upon their expertise.

Basic Certification courses : There are basic certification courses which are job oriented the cost of these courses are not very high. The duration of the course is very less, few of the courses are:

  • Certificate Course in Graphics Designing :

This course is suitable for those who are passionate and creative.

This course usually covers topics like image enhancing and editing, sketching, logo designing, UI designing, software program editing like Adobe Photoshop, print technology etc.

The course generally lasts for 6 months. However, there are shorter courses too. For example: A 3-month duration certification course is also available.

  •  Certificate Programme in MS Office:

Microsoft Office is a set of applications. It comprises a set of applications which have a diverse utilisation in every field, be it of education or business.

Some of the most prominent applications, which form the part of MS Office are: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access and MS PowerPoint.

The course duration is generally of 3 months.

This certification course can open the doors to various jobs which involve comuter work like front end office jobs.

  1. Certificate Course in Web Designing:

This course deals with creation and maintenance of websites, blogs and E-commerce sites.

We are living in the age of internet, where everything is available at the pace of just one click. Therefore, more and more businesses are entering the world wide web in order to enhance their size and reach, which requires skilled web designers to create visually stunning and high performing websites.

The web designing short term course includes the basics of web scripting and graphics and multimedia.

It involves introduction to internet & web, HTML, DHTML, JAVA Script, Flash Photoshop, CMS, Hosting and Servers. Short term course will help you gain new skills and you may start taking up freelancing gigs after completing the course.

This certificate course in web designing generally lasts for 3-6 months.

After the completion of a short-term course one can work as a freelancer in the field. However, pursuing a long and detailed course will help to get jobs in good companies.
